4.3 VOHeroes Coaches: mentorship and guidance

So, who leads all these workouts? Who gives us feedback and guidance?

To help you be successful (do more of what works and less of what doesn’t), and become a hero to your clients, we support you in many ways.

One of those ways to support you is with group and one-on-one coaching.

We have a great team of coaches here on the VOHeroes team. Each of them have not only extensive experience coaching voice talent, but they are all working voice talent themselves.

You can choose to workout with any one of them, on-mic, in a group setting, each month.

And they all rock! Meet your coaches:

Trevor Algatt (SAG-AFTRA) is a writer, musician, podcaster, and actor, Trevor’s production of animation VO demos places him in a special category of VO directors and producers. Read more…

Our Florida-based VOHeroes instructor Karen-Eileen Gordon has been described as psychic, with killer spreadsheets (she’s a Japanese energy healer and life-long meditator…with a numbers-oriented degree from an Ivy-covered hallowed hall and a big crush on entrepreneurship). Read more…

In a past life, J. Rodney Turner was a veteran air traffic controller.

Now, he’s a voice-over talent, and VOHeroes’ instructor for one of our monthly live online Zoom workouts, and has the distinction of having narrated and produced over 90 audiobooks in a three-year span, the first three years he was narrating. Read more…

VOHeroes instructor Tonya Cornelisse is both an on-camera and on-mic performer, having both a thriving comedy/drama live action career, as well as a burgeoning voice over practice, with credits in commercial, narration, audiobook, animation and many other categories.. Read more

Max and Victoria Smart are our two VOHeroes coaches based in California’s Inland Empire, in Lake Elsinore, and lead a monthly VOHeroes live Zoom workout for VO students around the world. Read more…

Tori Prather is one of VOHeroes’ Los Angeles-based instructor, with a broadcasting background and various college degrees in arts, psychology and education. She is represented by one of New York’s premier VO agencies. Read more…

Stuart Gauffi is VOHeroes’ DC/MD/VA-based instructor, whose acting and tech background brings a crossover set of expertise to the VOHeroes coaching staff that is invaluable. Read more…

David H. Lawrence XVII is the creator of the VOHeroes voiceover curriculum, leads one of the live online monthly workouts and is the curriculum’s video/audio instructor. Read more…

This team is amazing, and they all want your success.

Now that you’ve met your VOHeroes coaches and you know what their goals are, let’s share a little bit of our institutional philosophy: why we coach the way we coach.
