10.3 How to get help with voice over-related issues
The core of the VOHeroes community is the different options you have for getting questions about voice over finally (and accurately) answered. And you have several options for this.
NOTE: This lesson contains content that may only be applicable to active VOHeroes Pro members.
As a reminder, if you have questions about your personal account/information, or your VOHeroes subscriptions, membership or payments, email [email protected] or message David here on the site. DON’T send a private email or message if you need help with something voice over related. Follow the procedure below.
If you have questions about the industry, about the art, the commerce, the science or the mindset of your voice over practice, we make it a point to keep those questions and answers as public as possible.
Why?
Because everyone benefits from those questions, and the answers you’ll get.
So, in order, here’s the process to get help:
First, post
PROS ONLY The first place to ask questions is in the ProConnect discussion group. It’s called ProConnect for a reason: it connects all VOHeroes Pros with each other, and with our coaching staff.
Make that discussion group your first stop, and be very detailed in your questions (there’s more about this in an upcoming topic on how to be a world-class complainer).
This is first because you’ll get answers faster and from more perspectives. The coaches may not be available right away, but there are plenty of Pros hanging around the discussion group that can get you started, and get the discussion going. Often, solutions are just a click away, and some other Pro might know right where to send you.
Plus, once the solution is found, it’s now available for others to find in the future via the search function.
Second, attend
Another option is to ask your question in your monthly workout. That’s its purpose: to provide an opportunity for real time discussions about challenges in your voice over practice.
Not only will you get the guidance you need from the coach running the workout, but you also have the collective wisdom of the other students attending the workout.
As a reminder, you should register for the workout of your choice every month by clicking on the Workouts link on the sidebar.
Third, connect live
Remember that special monthly workout, ProConnect Live? That session is also included in your Pro membership, and it’s one of the most valuable aspects of the VOHeroes training program.
Bring your questions to that monthly online work session, especially those about business, tech and mindset.
As a friendly reminder, you should register for ProConnect Live every month by clicking on the Workouts link on the sidebar.
Now, let’s take a look at streamlining the inbound messages you’ll be getting from us.
This is a blank response.
Quite blank. Did you need something?
