5.1 The VOHeroes Pro Core Curriculum

Our Pro series of courses is a zero-to-hero progression of information designed to help you build your voice over practice from the ground up.

There are over 40 courses all told on the site, and 36 of them are the core VOHeroes Pro curriculum.

We begin with the basics, putting together your home studio, mastering microphone technique, and showing you how to audition with Audacity.

Then, we dig into commercials for two full courses, add self-direction and cold reading skills and with all that as our foundation, we then head into the world of audiobooks and ACX. 6 courses just on that.

Then we move to news and e-learning and add managing clients and projects to start to manage our business. After that, we tackle documentary narration, animation and video games, casting sites like Voice123 and Voquent and take on the latest digital voice categories and specialty narration.

Next, we look at VO marketing, creating your own content, voicing trailers and promos, as well as training and industrials. We help you master social networking, enhance the acting skills you use in VO, go deep into podcasting and demo creation (2 courses on both of those topics), then show you exactly what to charge for your VO services, give you a two-course process for keeping your VO systems tuned up and then finally, give you what you need to know to find a voice over agent.

All along the way, we help you create the mindset you need to succeed.
