4 Tactics: The VOHeroes Pro Toolkit

To achieve the strategies for success we’ve laid out, to excel at all four of the keys to successful VO work (the art, the commerce, the science and the mindset), let’s look at all the tactics we use, and what we’ve created for you.

We use a very effective set of tools and resources to help you create a successful, satisfying and profitable voice over practice.

VOHeroes Courses

PROS ONLY We’ve created (and are continuing to create) courses that are relevant and crucial to training in you in all areas. We record these classes, and have them available to you online 24/7: no making appointments to have us talk at you. You get to take the courses when you want and in what order you want. We have a suggested order, but you do what works for you.

VOHeroes Workouts

PROS ONLY Monthly, you’ll attend live coaching sessions where you both work on mic (dealing with the skills you need for the art of VO), and in discussion groups to work on the commerce, the science and the mindset. It’s where you’ll take what you’ve learned, and go from knowing…to doing.

VOHeroes Coaches

PROS ONLY Guiding you along the way, and supporting you in workouts and in the ProConnect discussion group, are your coaches, and I’m one of them. Learning is one thing, and watching me and my coaches demonstrate a skill is essential, but then putting what you learn into practice is where the rubber meets the road. Talking with them, asking questions of, looking for recommendations from and learning from your peers (and them, in turn, getting the same benefit from you) builds a community and helps you drive forward.

VOHeroes ProConnect LIVE

PROS ONLY In addition to monthly workouts (to hone your VO art skills with copy), you’ll also attend a very special workout that deals with pretty much everything else: the science and tech, the commerce and business and your ongoing strengthening of your professional VO mindset. David is the leader of this live Zoom session, and you engage in analysis and accountability of the business you’re building as a VO performer.

VOHeroes Labs

PROS ONLY In each one of the courses, there are usually videos we make to illustrate how to do something, how something works, or how to access and use a product or service. Instead of making you try to remember in which course (and where it was in that course) that you learned how to do something, we isolate those video demos and put them in one convenient area for you called The Labs.

VOHeroes Articles

This is kind of like the stack of the main library at a university: it’s where all the resources and research and exploration that I and my coaches do in their VO practices get recorded and stored so you can look them up. If you’ve got a question, it’s likely we’ve been asked that question before – and the answers are in the Articles.
