Show notes:

Hey there, hero!

I want you to meet our newest Pro.

He has some challenges in his life that are probably unlike any you might have, but he’s on it, and doing things to meet these challenges.

Once you meet him, please welcome him in the private ProConnect group, and take a moment to be inspired by his dedication – especially when the fatigue of being a performer begins to get to you.

  1. BRAVO!!!! It’s nice to see that there are still some goods things to come out of 2020. Great job. If we had more of this kind of sharing and collaboration this country and this world would be a much better place. All my best to both of your with this endeavor.

  2. This is an awesome situation that we could have used for a friend of mine who had Muscular Dystrophy and wasn’t able to use his hands very effectively. We had talked about him doing VO work, but sadly my friend passed away a year ago. Using Garage Band on an iPad sounds like a great combination for people in similar situation so I’m really interested how this develops and plays out.

  3. Welcome, and congrats Adam! Thank you to Auntie Julie for making the ask.
Kudos to Wisconsin for their awareness, insight, and inclusion of thoughtful community support.
And, there is no one better than David to partner with you on this journey.
    See you in the club!

  4. Wow… This is Amazing… Completely Inspiring….
Congratulations on your new journey into VO with the best instructor ever!!!

  5. How fantastic this is! Welcome Adam. So glad you’re taking this journey with David and the rest of us in the group. Thank you for sharing this!

  6. I had a math teacher in high school named John Heller who’s favorite quote was “Either find a path or make one.” He’d love Adam’s story. Welcome aboard, son!

  7. There is so much we take for granted. Thank you Adam for reminding us ALL that challenges should not deter us from pursuing our goals. Welcome to VOHeroes and I look forward to being in a Proconnect or workshop meeting with you in the future.

  8. Rock n roll and Welcome Adam!

“Teamwork makes the dream work.” I love it! Thank you both for sharing this ground-breaking experience with all of us. Bravo!

    David… you are a dream maker. 🙂

  9. The most impressive thing about this situation is your open minds. Well done working together to utilize available adaptations – yayyyy, technology!

Our 23-year-old son (who has a commanding voice, perfect pitch, and several languages under his belt) has looked into voiceover as a possibility when he’s finished with his grad school program. It’s fantastic to think he could turn to you, David, to talk through possibilities, if he decides he’d like to pursue voice work!

Thanks to both of you for sharing the journey …

  10. Wonderful. David I love that you are open to helping everyone in whatever position they are in. As we age we all will find that the kinds of things being done for those with different abilities will benefit us too.

  11. Curious if Adam is on staff now as I go through these vlogs for the first time. I’m in a similar situation but have a few different challenges. This would be a second or third career for me if I can secure the funding to join the team. I’m inspired to explore the resourses New York might have to help in this regard. Keep up the good work!
