Don’t You Deserve Better?

hey there hero I heard a phrase today
that I’ve been hearing quite a bit and I
wanted to share it with you because it’s
kind of a cautionary tale I hear people
say when they’re just so frustrated that
they’re not achieving their goals you
know I deserve better
and nine times out of ten you’re
absolutely correct you do deserve better
because you’re working so hard for
something you know if you’re in a
relationship that you’re working hard to
make work and it’s just not happening
you deserve better if you are taking a
class and you’re working hard to
understand it but the teacher is
confusing or the material isn’t
accessible because it’s not being shared
with you in a way that you can
understand you deserve better but I’m
very concerned when I hear somebody say
I deserve better and they’re not working
for it that’s always the litmus test for
me when somebody says I deserve better
because if you’re not working for it
then you’re absolutely and irretrievably
incorrect that you deserve better I’ve
said many times throughout these videos
you know you deserve to have the career
that you want but unwritten there and
unspoken there is you have to be willing
to work as hard as possible for it if
you’re not working toward it then I’m
sorry you don’t deserve it you don’t
deserve any better what that is is a
state of entitlement when you feel like
you deserve something that you don’t
have but you haven’t done anything to
move yourself from where you are not
having it to where you would be to have
it then yeah I disagree I disagree it’s
kind of like the very famous currently
popular
a Lister or a – b lister she’s not
really an a-lister but she thinks she is
who is very well known for jumping the
line at restaurants and saying I’m
so-and-so bitch I demand to be at the
front and if you don’t know who she is
just Google I’m so-and-so bitch and
you’ll find her she feels like she
deserves the the treatment that means
everybody else suffers while she enjoys
making up for all those years that she
struggled I think that’s what’s going on
there but I’m not sure but the point is
that sense of entitlement that we hate
about certain people certainly
celebrities in some cases that are bad
actors not bad actors in terms of not
being good actors as a profession the
bad actors in terms of not being
generous not being nice kind loving
helpful but rather takers and selfish
and not appropriately selfish right we
always have this this notion that we
deserve better
my whole point of this video is to say
always always always check before you
wreck and ask yourself are you working
towards that and if you’re working as
hard as you possibly can then I will
agree with you 100% if you’re not
working at it and you’re sitting there
and you’re thinking to yourself yeah I
deserve that maybe not in fact I’m
pretty sure not tell me what you think
about this I’m not accusing you
personally you watching this video of
this I’m just saying sometimes we wonder
why somebody just basically says I
deserve this I’m gonna take this because
I deserve this and why we feel why
that’s not right you know and it’s
usually because the work has not been
put in let me know in the comments below
