How To Stay Up To Date With Show Business

Hey, there!

I know. I know. No one has time to read everything.

I hear you.

But you don’t want to be caught flat-footed when the ground shifts beneath us.

And it’s been doing that in show business a lot these days.

So what’s the best way to stay on top of “the business”?

If you’ve been to a newsstand here in LA or in New York, and you look at the show business section of magazines and newspapers, it’s daunting.

The Hollywood Reporter, BACK STAGE, Variety, and the coverage of the business from mainstream publications…how do you possibly have time to read all that stuff?

Even reading the online versions of all of those publications could take hours, but luckily, there’s a great option called Cynopsis.

Yes, I spelled that right – it’s a combination of Cynthia and Synopsis – it’s a daily briefing on what’s going on in show business, including major news, casting, VO, greenlit series, executive movement (so you can watch the folks on your contact list move from show to show) and so much more.

I used to be the voice of their Cynopsis Digital version (there are five different editions: their mainstream, kids, international, digital and sports/e-sports), but was a subscriber long before I voiced their daily podcast.

Here’s the link to sign up (it’s free): https://cynopsis.com

Hope this helps.

  1. Hmm, haven’t heard of this one before.

But if it has your stamp of approval, David, it must be something special. Thanks for the notification!
