13237: Thank You For Letting Me Help You Tell Stories
Hey there, hero!
I just want to take a moment to tell you how grateful I am to be a part of your journey, and to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of your storytelling support crew.
That’s pretty much it. I’m just thankful.
And here’s a link to Kindra Hall’s Stories That Stick (I highly recommend this audiobook – she’s amazing and will also make you a better storyteller):

this podcast episode isn’t going to fall
within the boundaries of what YouTube or
Buzzrout or any of the consultants on
podcasting will tell you should be the
right length for your episode because
it’s a simple thank you and that thank
you is going to be going to you So stand
by we’ll do that in this episode of the
VO Heroes podcast
I’m in the midst of listening to Kendra
Hall’s book Stories That Stick and I’m
listening to her
narrate this book And it just reminds
me
how it’s not having a super super
professional voice She’s great
uh but she’s not a voice talent She’s
not an actor She’s not a voice talent
What she is is
authentic And it’s been my experience in
working with actors with voice talent
with
authors who are worried about their
voice not
being professional grade
quality Um that it never matters What
matters is your enthusiasm your
authenticity your
uh your engagement with what you’re
talking about Kindra could not be more
excited and enthusiastic about
storytelling and it’s infectious It
makes me It makes me giggle sometimes It
makes me lean in There’s all these
things that happen And the thank you
that I talked about in the intro to the
podcast
episode is just how grateful I am that I
get to work with you If you’re watching
this podcast you’re not a nameless
faceless generic member of the society
at large A lot of podcasts are aimed at
everybody My podcast is aimed at you the
storyteller the person that interprets
either their own stories if you’re a
narrateyouonbook.com client or
interprets your own stories and
everybody else’s stories if you’re an
acxmasterclass.com client or a
vioer pro
And I just I pinch myself on a regular
basis that I am allowed that I am
enabled that I have chosen and you’ve
chosen
me to help you tell
stories And I just want to make sure you
understand how grateful I am And I want
to be very clear and thank you from the
bottom of my heart for that opportunity
And that’s
it I usually say at this point hit the
like button subscribe to the channel
click the notification bell but I’m not
looking to build more people in the base
This isn’t the kind of thing that you
could forward to somebody because I’m
not working with them yet I just want
this to be for you from
me I’m David H Lawrence the 17th I thank
you so much for allowing me to help you
in this journey and I will see you in
the next episode of the Video Heroes
podcast
(from YouTube)
Thank YOU, David for everything that you do for us. It is truly appreciated.
David, I want to thank you for sharing all of your great knowledge. I’ll never forget the one tip about how to keep my hands still while doing a video. Who would have thought to hold a prop? You’re so right about being authentic. And of course, stories. People love stories and dislike being lectured to.
You are welcome, David. It’s a joy working with you the past eight years. I’m looking forward to learning with you for many more.
OMG, I have tears in my eyes! Thank you David for all you have done for me. Thank you for your support, your caring, your confidence in me when I lack it and especially your friendship! You are the port in the storm for all of us in the storytelling seas.

Thank you for going on my journey with me David!
