13191: What Opportunity Is Wearing And Sounds Like When It Shows Up

Hey there, hero!

We tend to hear the word “opportunity” and dress it up big time, expecting glitzy as opposed to basic work or work that prepares us for further opportunity.

Opportunities show up in various heights and widths and various levels of glamour.

Sometimes, they are awesome and legendary. But sometimes, they show up very calmly, ready to do some grunt work.

And that grunt work is sometimes more spectacular than the glitzy stuff.

And you get to play and benefit either way.

Thoughts on how you recognize opportunity when you see it? Let me know in the comments below

  1. All the grunt work of the technological work is me in overalls and when it works I feel attired in a fancy ball gown.

  2. Wonderful thoughts to share, David. I consider signing up for the Narrate Your Own Book course an opportunity! I feel like I put the call out to the Universe for skills I wanted to learn and grow within myself–how to narrate mine and other author’s books–and then I heard about your course! Opportunity appeared. Though I don’t have as much time to dedicate right now and I am slow work through all the lessons and the practice, but being able to learn something I’ve long imagined is certainly an opportunity. You are correct, opportunity wears many clothes and presents itself in many ways, if we but look.

  3. I love this! When I heard about VO Heroes and took your free introductions it was the opportunity I had been looking for. And yes, it’s been a lot of work and sometimes a little work. And also a great joy in my life. I love to learn new things, however they appear.
Of course, with the way my mind works, I now see David in overalls…..with a mic…..
