I am petrified to do an audiobook! My fear is messing up the progression of recording, editing, and sending off the files. I have watched to lessons on audiobooks and it seems so complicated to me. I do have a profile on ACX and could send out auditions, but fear gets in the way! Just sayin….

I have found that when I ask for help it’s always met with kindness and gentleness. It never seems to come from a place of headiness, a pompous attitude or me feeling like a fool for asking. Because I believe the respondent has already been in the place I’m at and can identify with the feeling of “unknowing.” And I appreciate that greatly.

David,
I came late to the party, so had no idea why there was a video everyday, and quite frankly, didn’t challenge it! I signed up of my own volition to receive them everyday because I greatly appreciate the gems you sent my way. I am enjoying the rabbit trails that always lead back to how to be great at what we do. I appreciate your clarity on why you are changing your equipment. I found that I was in that trap of finding the “silver bullet“ to bring success. I’m finding the only success is to stay consistent, trust what you have as working, and perfecting the craft. Thank you for the great education you are providing through VOHeroes.

In all the categories of voice over, there is one thing that stands out for me that you have incorporated and that is: “the art, the commerce, the science.” It is applicable across the board and I believe a very important piece of information to expound upon.
