How is the text of what’s being narrated presented? Is it hard copy or digital? Can it be enlarged? I have 20/70 eyesight, which is about 30% of 20/20-sighted folks, and I don’t want to wear my eyes out trying to see something to read.
It’s audio and video, and the text provided in things like copy and script clips is easily enlarged in your PDF reader. I have 20/100 vision, so I get you, Don. We also use dark mode, so it’s even easier on the eyes.

You mentioned AI. I have been asked to audition on LinkedIn numerous times to do German and American VO to use for AI to help them sound more and more human, I ignored them, I feel like I would be selling out all VO actors (including myself). And I have recently experienced this with Walmart customer service, the 1st voice definitely sounded like AI and I said I wanted to speak to a REAL person and they connected me to an even better AI, but I could tell, but it took me a minute to figure it out. I don’t think many would have noticed. Point being, don’t you think, as fast as they improve, there is a good chance the AI will be taking a most of VO away from us? I would like to believe it won’t because I would love to dive deeper into VO. Thanks for any insight.
We will be hitting that threat straight on in these lessons. But the short answer is that AI will likely take jobs we couldn’t have, or wouldn’t have wanted to do anyway. And the results are so far less than optimal for AI. Keep watching and you’ll hear what is (and isn’t) happening.
David. Was successful in vo. took a break to go back on the air. after several years, quit and back in vo fulltime. have emailed demo and resume to about 30 agents and casting agents. No replys…not one. How can I determine if they even opened my email? what is my next step? Thank you
